Vladimir & Suzdal Day Tour by Train

Unveil the magic of the famous Golden Ring – towns Vladimir and Suzdal, of which Vladimir once was the capital of Rus, are the best places to experience Russian medieval history. This is a full-day tour from Moscow (about 220 km). The journey starts at 6 am, but do not be scared, you can catch on your sleep while travelling in a comfortable train from Moscow to Vladimir city (it takes about 1.45 h one-way). A private transport is provided upon arrival.

We start our exploration by visiting Vladimir Observation Platform to get enchanted by the panoramic view of this gem town. From here the whole city is if in your palm. Then through the medieval streets, we reach the Assumption Cathedral; its walls are covered with elaborate carvings, and here we can glimpse at Adrei Rublev’s frescos – the most famous icon-painter in Russia.  You will have the undivided attention of your guide and the itinerary can be adapted to suit your needs. The next stop is the Golden Gate – the architectural masterpiece of that time.

We move to Suzdal to walk on ramparts of the Suzdal Kremlin and enjoy the onion domes and golden spires. In addition, you learn a lot about Russian history and culture.

For the shopaholics and just people in search of extraordinary memorabilia, the Suzdal Museum of Wood Craftsmanship open its doors. The huge variety of handcraft souvenirs will astonish you, also you will be pleasantly surprised by its prices that are far lower than in Moscow.
